What is a Comprehensive Plan?
A Comprehensive Plan is an official city document that provides guidance for local planning. It establishes the goals and policies of a city based on its existing assets and community aspirations. The City of Sultan is starting a major update to its Comprehensive Plan which will be adopted at the end of 2024. This Comprehensive Plan will create a framework to shape how Sultan grows over the next 20 years.
The City of Sultan, in collaboration with a consultant team, will approach this project by:

Communicating a Shared Community Vision.

Developing a plan and regulations that comply with the WA Growth Management Act (GMA).

Creating a land use plan that reflects community priorities.

Developing an implementation strategy to realize the vision.

Emphasizing a commitment to an equitable plan and process.
