This past March, the comprehensive plan project team held a series of meetings focusing on the characteristics and locations of new homes and jobs coming to Sultan over the next 20 years. City Council, Mayor Wiita, Planning Board, and City staff discussed ways of satisfying the 2044 Vision while complying with new comprehensive planning requirements for affordable housing. Ultimately, City leaders put their support behind nine key growth strategies that are guiding Sultan's future land use mapping, policy updates, and other critical components of the comprehensive plan.
